ORIGINS
Agustin M. Delgado is a self-taught designer and craftsman. Born in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. Delgado follows traditions of creativity and sewing from his family. Growing up in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Delgado developed an eye for fashion and design at an early age. Inspired by the women and men in his family, who designed and created hand-sewn, hand-tailored clothing. At age seven, Delgado relocated to Washington State, where Delgado reunited with his mother. Her influence became Delgado's foundation for textiles, color, and creativity.
Delgado launched his brand in 2018 and continues to astonish the runways with his bold, show-stopping designs. Delgado is a passionate artisan who wants to evoke people's emotions and inspire people through history and art. Delgado's inspirations come from various artistic styles, historical eras, and fashion elements worldwide. He firmly believes that "one must understand the past to understand the future." Delgado endeavors to create art in the form of wearable garments that reflect his client's individual and unique personalities. After all, every creation tells a story and is a canvas for his artistic expression, bringing beauty, romance, and the designer's imagination to life.
UPCOMING
Delgado is working on his 2025 Fall/Winter Stigmata: Heavenly Bodies collection. Inspired by one of the rarest phenomena in Catholic culture dating back to the 1200s. Stigmata: Heavenly Bodies will narrate the story of the manifestation of the wounds [*] of the passion of Christ. The collection's aesthetic will be bold, with lots of drama. It will have an amorphous Avant-Garde silhouette that will evoke your imagination, a lovely, fitted silhouette that gracefully accentuates the waist, and that masculine tailor fit we all desire. Each design will have a hint of ostentatious extravagance, giving them a romantic fantasy feel. Each piece will be ornate and have a unique artistic quality that portrays various elements in design, avant-garde, and art.
[*] The five sacred wounds that were inflicted on Jesus during his crucifixion were wrists and feet (caused by nails), wounds on his torso (made from a lance/spear), forehead (caused by the crown of thorns), and wounds to the back (caused by scourging).
